ILT20 Stats 2026 Most Runs, Most Wickets Belts and Records

Season 5 stats, the belt race, every past season’s top performers and the league’s biggest records.

1,405 runs record120* highest score5/16 best bowling

Alex Hales holds the record for most runs in ILT20 history with 1,405, and Fazalhaq Farooqi was the first bowler to reach 50 wickets. Season 5 starts on 21 November 2026, and the race for the 2026 belts begins on day one. Last season Sam Curran topped the batting with 397 runs, while Waqar Salamkheil and Ajay Kumar shared the bowling lead with 18 wickets each. This stats page brings together the 2026 belts, the top performers from every season and the biggest records the league has produced.

ILT20 Belts and What Each Colour Means

The ILT20 doesn’t hand out orange and purple caps. Its top performers win coloured belts instead, a little like boxing titles. Four of the five colours, green, white, red and black, are the colours of the UAE flag, and blue is kept apart for the best UAE player.

Green Belt

Best batter

One of the four colours of the UAE flag. Green is the batting belt, worn by the player who piles up the most runs and boundaries.

2025 to 2026 winner
Sam Curran, Desert Vipers

White Belt

Best bowler

Another UAE flag colour, and the colour of the white ball every T20 bowler uses. It goes to the bowler with the most wicket points.

2025 to 2026 winner
Waqar Salamkheil, Dubai Capitals

Red Belt

Most Valuable Player

The third flag colour, kept for the biggest individual prize. It rewards the player who does the most with bat, ball and in the field.

2025 to 2026 winner
Sam Curran, Desert Vipers

Blue Belt

Best UAE player

The only belt colour not taken from the UAE flag, which makes it stand apart. It is reserved for UAE nationals.

2025 to 2026 winner
Muhammad Waseem, MI Emirates

Black Belt

Champions

The fourth flag colour and, as in martial arts, the top rank. It goes to the owner of the franchise that lifts the trophy.

2025 to 2026 winner
Desert Vipers

Live Season 5 leaderboards will appear on this page from the opening game, Desert Vipers vs MI Emirates in Dubai. You can plan around the Season 5 match calendar, see how runs and wickets turn into results on the league standings, and check every ILT20 squad to see who is playing where this year.

How the ILT20 Belts Are Decided

The belts run on a points system rather than raw totals, so the Green Belt doesn’t always go to the top run scorer and the White Belt doesn’t always go to the leading wicket taker. Each individual belt comes with $15,000 in prize money.

BeltAwardHow points are earned
GreenBest batter1 point per run, plus bonuses for fours, sixes, fifties and hundreds
WhiteBest bowler10 points per wicket, plus bonuses for dot balls and three or five wicket hauls
RedMost Valuable PlayerBatting, bowling and fielding points, plus 10 points for every Player of the Match award
BlueBest UAE playerThe same scoring as the Red Belt, counted only for UAE nationals
BlackChampionsNot points based. It goes to the owner of the title winning franchise

Bonuses don’t stack. A hundred earns its own bonus but not the fifty bonus on top of it. Anything that happens in a Super Over doesn’t count towards any belt.

Muhammad Waseem has won the Blue Belt in all four seasons, including 2024 when MI Emirates took the title. Sam Curran is the only player to win the Red Belt twice.

Records That Could Fall in 2026

Alex Hales went unsold at the auction, so the all time run record is up for grabs. Nicholas Pooran needs 129 runs to pass him, which he could manage in three or four innings for Pooran’s MI Emirates. Muhammad Waseem needs 165, and James Vince, now part of the Sharjah Warriorz squad, needs 167. Nobody has reached 1,500 ILT20 runs yet, and Pooran is best placed to get there first.

With the ball, Farooqi arrives as the most expensive player in league history after MI Emirates paid $380,000 for him among the big money signings this year. Wanindu Hasaranga, second on the all time wickets list, went unsold, which leaves Farooqi a clear run at stretching his lead.

Shai Hope of Dubai Capitals scored 527 runs, including a century, and carried his side all the way to the title. Fazalhaq Farooqi was the best bowler with 21 wickets for MI Emirates, including 5 for 16 against Dubai Capitals, which is still the best bowling figure in the league’s history. Tom Banton scored two hundreds that season, and Johnson Charles hit the most sixes with 25.

Best Wicketkeepers in the ILT20

Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the standout keeper of Season 4 for Gulf Giants, with 246 runs plus 4 catches and 2 stumpings. Most ILT20 sides want a keeper who opens the batting, and Season 5 has plenty of them. Gurbaz returns for Gulf Giants after costing $310,000, Phil Salt and Tom Moores give Dubai Capitals two options, Nicholas Pooran keeps for MI Emirates, and Lorcan Tucker and Michael Pepper are with Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

Top Spinners in the ILT20

Spin has always done well on the slower pitches in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Hasaranga, Waqar Salamkheil and Rashid Khan have been the most dangerous spinners in the league so far. Salamkheil has now led the wickets chart twice, and with Rashid back for MI Emirates and Noor Ahmad at Dubai Capitals, spin should decide plenty of games in Season 5. You can follow the scorecards live to see who is turning the ball this year.
